SAXON GOLD

This pale gold thirst-quenching guzzler is our bestselling ale. Lots of hop aroma with a near-sweet start leading to a clean bitter finish.

MONARCH'S WAY

Smooth amber ale brewed with pure English Hops and barley. A juicy berry fruit bitterness is rounded with a sweet malt finish.

This popular local ale is named after the escape route - the Monarch's Way - taken by King Charles II as he fled the country to mainland Europe following defeat during the Battle of Worcester. With a £1000 bounty on his head the King spent 42 perilous days being hotly pursued by the Parliamentary forces under Oliver Cromwell. He travelled first north towards Wales, then south through the Cotswolds and the Mendips to the South Coast, and finally along the South Downs to Shoreham where he made his escape to France.

HOBSON'S BEST

Best has lived up to its name and won many awards over the years including CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain, overall Bronze medalist in 1997 and CAMRA West Midlands Champion Bitter in 2012.

The pale brown to amber medium bodied beer has a strong hop character. It's a bitter but with unconventional warm tones of malt that lingers on the palette, the complex malty flavours gives richness, balanced by the clean hoppy finish. A good session bitter brewed with local British hops picked locally in Worcestershire - Fuggles, Goldings, Challenger and Progress.
