BOOKINGS & RESERVATIONS

As many of you may have read in the media, no shows and last-minute cancellations are one of the biggest issues facing our industry. Recent reports suggest that as an average around 20% of bookings fail to turn up, with some venues experiencing up to 30%.

Here at The King Charles House, we have been desperately trying to avoid having to take card details at the time of booking, Sadly, we can no longer continue to turn business away for tables who do not show for a reservation they have made. As a hospitality business it’s our job to be welcoming, and this goes against our values as a business. It feels terrible that all our fantastic customers have to pay the price for those who don’t honour the reservations made.
